Our clients range from large international companies to privately held Midwest businesses, including Caravan Ingredients, Peterson Manufacturing, Royal Cup Coffee, Multivac, Seaboard, US Safety, Wireco, and Landau Uniforms.
“Over the past 100 years, Royal Cup Coffee and Tea has grown from its small, hometown roots to become a major importer, roaster and distributor of the world’s finest specialty and premium coffees and teas. Royal Cup’s reach extends throughout the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean, serving customers in the food service, hospitality, office and specialty coffee markets.”
Royal Cup Coffee needed assistance with hiring skilled employees in their Kansas City, Atlanta, Birmingham, and Memphis locations. Dan Kilpatrick and Lori Jorgensen worked closely with Royal Cup’s Regional Managers and their hiring team to source, interview, and place candidates in management, sales, and support positions at the company. We placed Branch Managers in four regions, and the Birmingham branch relied on our services for "difficult to fill" and operationally critical positions.
An essential part of our placement process started during the initial meetings with management. Along with discussing the position requirements, we identified the type of personality and demeanor that would complement the department and relate well with Royal Cup customers. During our screening process, we used that information to ask the right questions to find individuals who had those characteristics. The short list of candidates we recommended to Royal Cup, were individuals whose skills, demeanor, and life aspirations met the position requirements and were in synch with the company culture.
Dan and Lori served as an extension of Royal Cup’s human resources. By managing the hiring process for them, we provided Royal Cup management with more time to focus on their daily responsibilities. And, we shortened the hiring cycle, which resulted in qualified candidates filling critical positions more quickly. Since there is no cost for PSC’s placement services unless an individual is hired by a company, our client also benefited by this win-win service agreement.
“Peterson Manufacturing Company is a world-leading innovator in the production of a complete line of vehicle safety lighting, mirrors, reflectors, antennas and related products.”
Dan Kilpatrick began working with Peterson Manufacturing in 1979 when they installed their first computer system, IBM System/34 and MAPICS. In 1993, he helped them install BPCS with the full suite of applications and install the first AS/400 “black box” in the United States. During the next year, he assisted the Peterson companies with converting fully to BPCS.
Dan and Lori have supplied numerous contractors and permanent employees to assist in major projects for the company. We placed four individuals in their Information Technology department, including the IT Director. We have also placed three VP/C-level executives in the organization. Our long term relationship with Peterson has enabled us to have a thorough understanding of job requirements and their company culture.
Throughout the years, we have proudly supported Peterson’s incredible company and marketplace growth. It has also been very fulfilling to us personally, to have helped our client solve their personnel needs, while making a real difference in individual’s lives.
